Technical Experience + Qualifications
You will need both a strong technical background and hands-on experience with AWS and data engineering.
Specifically, the following qualifications and skills are desired:
2+ years of experience with AWS, demonstrating proficiency in implementing data solutions on the platform.
2+ years of experience in extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data processes.
Extensive engineering and development experience, showcasing your ability to build scalable and efficient data pipelines.
Experience in automated testing, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of data pipelines.
Exposure to AWS Glue, a Spark-based serverless ETL engine and service, enabling seamless data transformation and integration.
Familiarity with AWS Code Commit and AWS Code Build, facilitating collaboration and version control.
Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation, enabling infrastructure as code and streamlined deployment.
Experience in the banking and insurance sectors would be advantageous as it provides context and understanding of industry-specific challenges.
To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelors degree or higher in quantitative areas such as Computer Science, Information Management, Big Data & Analytics, or a related field.
